Michael W. Dean reveals home recording secrets!
One of my favorite authors, Michael W. Dean, wrote a post over at his Libertarian Punk blog, about doing home recording on the cheap. He gives specifics about finding equipment with the most value for the best price, and tells you how to build a recording booth for less than ten bucks. This man knows what he’s talking about, and his opinion has the voice of experience behind it. Here’s a link to his low-down:

A review of CSS: The Missing Manual
I bought CSS: The Missing Manual. It’s pretty good so far. I’ve read three chapters. It is very readable. It’s not so dry as a technical manual, but it’s not full of stupid and annoying jokes like a “For Dummies” book. It has good tutorials that demonstrate the concepts explained in each chapter. I like to do the tutorial first, then read the chapter, then review the tutorial one more time.
There were four books about CSS at the store, and this one appeared to be the best one. At $35, it was also the cheapest. Amazon has it for only $23.
So if you’re looking for a CSS book, you might want to check this one out.
