Written by I got a Nikon D3000. It’s my first DSLR camera. I think it will be awesome once I learn how to use it well. Here are a few examples of my first attempts. It’s obvious I need more practice. I also messed around with the pictures in Gimp. I think I probably messed around with them too much. But it’s OK.

I owned a Nikon D50. Loved that camera. Then Lake Superior attacked me on the shore (a sad story) and the camera died in a 1/2″ pool of water.
I now have a D90. It’s ok.
